Trevor Neale will be conducting his popular Historic Town Walk on Sunday 5th May on the Allora Autumn Weekend (4th & 5th May). Trevor’s walk will commence at 10 a.m. from the Golden Wattle Café, 22 Warwick Street, Allora
From the open verandah of the café Trevor will tell you about the history of the War Memorial Park. The walk will then proceed along the banks of Dalrymple Creek, an area important to the original occupants of the district, and the final living place of the last two representatives of these people.
Trevor may tell you of the drowning in the creek over the years of at least 11 of the later European settlers and offer you an explanation of why they were all males.
